Do you only get one bid on bidday?
by: Sorrynewtothisfrom what im seeing videos of people opening their bids it seems like its only a bid from one sorority? what is the meaning of that? is that the same way with frats too???
#1 by: It’s ok!
A bid for sororities is basically like a formal invitation to join a specific organization after you have gone through the rush process. Formal rush includes visiting all 13 sororities and learning about them for a week until you are able to narrow it down to your top 2. On “Bid Day”, you learn which of your top two you have received an invitation to. For frats it’s a bit different, since you do not have to rush every single frat. I know bid day for sororities is a HUGE deal, as they run “home” and party with their new sisters. Frats are a bit different, and I’ve seen each organization has their own practices :)
