spring fraternity rush at 20-21

I’m Transferring and don’t know that many people. I plan to rush a fraternity in the spring at age 20 but during the pledge term I will turn 21. Am I too old?

A few guys in my pledging where 21. Not super rare, but definitely uncommon to rush when your older. Most people in your pledge process will be freshman/sophomore. A lot of people would rather hit downtown and party there. However, if you are trying to meet lots of friends, rushing is the main way to do it. Just realize your sacrificing an entire semester. Some pledge processes let the pledges party, I know FIJI are especially known for that. Most fraternities would rather them earn it, and let them party after they are initiated.
