work week themes disappointing
by: senior yearI’m a senior and I have to say that the work weeks themes this year have been so disappointing. I’m not sure that there was even one theme that hadn’t already been done in recent years. This includes hometown themes, sports themes, throwback themes, frat boy themes, spy/business themes, western/boots themes, color themes and sea/ocean themes. Like every single theme looks like it came off pinterest or cu instagrams from the past two years. Like where’s the creativity??

agree that they were pretty bad and unoriginal this year. the only one’s i thought were original were chi o’s mama mia theme, g phi’s news/headlines theme, axo’s wedding/say i do theme, and dg’s circus theme. aphi’s icons theme was well done too, but not really original.

it’s bad enough when houses recycle themes from previous years but this year every single house overlapped with someone at least once. chi o and kkg both did the color theme. axo and dg both did the fancy theme. dg and a phi both did legends/icons. tri-delt and theta both did frat boys. aphi and tri-delt both did western themes. dg and pi phi both did grandmas. pi phi and g phi both did hometown. kappa and axo both did the throwback Y2K themes. the whole week was boring and repetitive. hopefully everyone steps it up for bid day!

there was even more overlap the past couple days with western/boots themes and another wedding theme.
