im going to go ahead and say no? this isn’t the south where who you know matters for getting you in. if you look hard enough online you can find anything you need to know about the houses and likely unless they went to cu recently they will have as much of an idea as you do as a freshman. i watched people with rush coaches get their least favorite houses and people go in blind end up at their favorites. dont waste your money

Just stepping in here, as someone actually from the South and an alumna of a large national sorority:

Rush consultants have zero access to return rates or any actual recruitment data, so don't be fooled by them trying to appear like they have some insider info. They only get their info from social media and the rumors the girls and moms hear, and their personal impressions, like everyone else.
And a rush consultant IS NOT a connection. Chapters DO NOT take advice or recommendations from rush consultants. Pnm's will get no help in that regard so anyone who thinks they can pay for that is wasting a lot of money. And a rush consultant alumna member of any certain chapter who wants pnm's pay her for recs is a total POS, and those recs will not be a factor to the chapter anyway. But the rush consultants won't tell you that, they want your money.

Legacy isn't connection either and doesn't really matter any more; there are too many legacies coming through now and maybe a chapter legacy gets another look but nobody cares that somebody's mom was an xyz at some other school and almost every national has eliminated the legacy requirements and courtesies anyway.

Actual connections are what can help, meaning that members in a chapter know a pnm personally, or know of her through secondary personal connections like high school, hometown, same church or camp, daughter of parents' friends, etc. And those can work against a pnm just as easily as in her favor. But regardless, you won't get connections from a rush coach.

Honestly, we kind of pity the rush consultant girls and their moms. I mean we get it for the total strangers to sororities and the recruitment process, and some people do need help understanding social media and videos (you can get that help and those skills anywhere though). But it just seems to be the moms who have a lot of money to throw at their insecure social climbing priorities. Most are paying a lot of money for their daughter's instruction on social basics that they should have nailed down with her a lot earlier.

If you were raised in the woods by wild animals or really do actually struggle with social situations/anxiety in life then by all means get a coach, you are the one who would benefit. Otherwise, buyer beware.

Greek Chic NYC is a sorority consultant, but this post is totally fake and not from a real consultant. A real consultant would not have 50 clients at one school, and would not post on this site. If you watch actual consultant's social media, they never say anything negative or so specific about any sororities.
