Chapter sizes/competative?
by: pnm2026I’ve been following rush as a potential cu student next year! I’ve loved seeing everyone and congrats on bid day! I have some questions. How big is each chapter and each class? How many people don’t get bids that didn’t drop?

The member class size is calculated by taking the number of PNM‘s that signed the MRABA form after preference round, divided by 9 which is the number of sororities at CU, so it changes every year.
As long as a PNM has decent enough grades and doesn’t do anything egregious through social media or at rush, and maximizes their options every round they are guaranteed a bid to a house. The girls who drop tend to do so because they get dropped by the houses they wanted rather than staying in the process with the houses that wanted them.

A number of houses ended up with quota additions this year to make sure every pnm with 2 houses at pref ended up with a house. Some mc’s had over 180 members.

Thank you, ChatGPT. To actually answer, new member classes have been around 170 for the past few years. Chapter sizes are over 350, maybe now closer to 400 with this year's rush, IDK actual number for Total. There is always a small percentage of girls who get dropped completely, usually for grades, but a tiny few just don't rush/interact well/don't get it. There is no guarantee for a bid but the vast majority drop themselves.
