Phi Mu - ΦΜ Sorority Ratings at UCB

Not quite sure about phi mu. They don’t seem so put together and there’s a strange mix of fun and chill girls, and then some really pretentious and stuck up people, which I don’t understand. I’ve heard they’re really selective with who they associate with which is kind of ambitious for such a new sorority. We’ll see where they go from here I guess.

Phi mu’s philanthropy was at kind of a disaster but hopefully in the future they’ll learn how to manage it better, especially when they get a house. Their dues are expensive af (prob for a house) and doesn’t include their shirts either. However, they seem to be popular because they’re new, it’ll be interesting to see what they’re like when the phi mu craze is down

To be honest, they're just kind of there. I don't really think they have a legit ranking until they have to participate fully in recruitment in the fall. Since a lot of rank is defined by desirability during recruitment, ranking them before they have to actually recruit is useless and inaccurate. IDK how they're gonna do house tour day but oh well. Overall they don't really seem like the worst group of girls, but they are definitely not a cohesive group of girls. It's hard to pin down really what they stand for because their membership is all over the place. But like they seem fine so IDK. Wait for fall we will know more then. The only reason i'm giving them a low ranking is to offset all of the self-rank that I see on this page. IMHO they should just be at a neutral 50% since we can't really figure out what their established reputation is yet.

Greta sisterhood events and really trying to get involved on campus

They tried to recruit girls by saying they had bought the tri delta house. From what i heard, both sororities nationals had to get involved. Super desperate and embarrassing. I wouldn’t be surprised if their charter was in question because of it.

Dont know how to be panhellenic

Phi Mu consists of many amazing and well rounded women that bring eachother up.

Phi Mu is a very welcoming community. Despite what has been said on this particular website designed for anon comments, I have been a part of this organization from the very beginning and all the negative situations posted on here have been identified and handled, and the girls I have interacted with have been incredibly friendly to me from the very beginning despite my social and economic status. I would like to encourage anyone who encounters an issue with this chapter to contact either Panhel or our exec directly so all unexcused behavior can be handled properly. We take pride in our values and want to thank all the other organizations for being so welcoming. On behalf of Phi Mu, we do not stand for any bad behavior and we want to support every other greek house to the best of our abilities! LOVE PHI MU

Correcting self rank

To all the girls who have posted something mean (not just to Phi Mu but to any sorority), you are the reason that Greek life has such a bad reputation. You are the reason that many people assume all sorority girls are mean. I am not saying Phi Mu does not have some issues to work through, but there isn't a sorority on this campus that doesn't have an issue. You are proof this is true. Maybe we would all be better off if you spent your time focusing on yourself and your own sorority. Be part of the change not the problem. I didn't join Phi Mu because I didn't have another option. I joined because it was supposed to be different. It is unfortunate, but I am not sure I want to continue to be involved in Greek life if this is all it's about.
