Question about if Auburn will ever get sorority house

There is nothing prohibiting sorority houses in the school's charter or sorority chapters' bylaws or local laws, or anywhere. It's just a situation by practicality. There was another thread about this recently.

The main issues are about having land to build them on and all the sororities having the money to build at around the same time to maintain equity. And there would also have to be land set aside for possible future chapters because any sorority that would not have a house when the others did would be a failure, nor would they even want to come on in the first place.

Tennessee had a similar situation some years ago and their university allotted land for a sorority village and some more for a fraternity village. They only had 13 sororities at the time and it took 21 acres for all of them with room for sorority expansion. All the sororities had to start private fundraising on their own and it took about 5 or 6 years before the first ones could break ground.

So it's really an all or nothing proposition and it has to be a 'need to' rather than a 'want to' with so much involved, and all the chapters AND their nationals AND the university would have to be on board together but no one knows where they would find the land.
