top fraternities
by: curiousI wasn't able to make it to any of the summer rush events but I still want to get the chance to rush the "top tier" fraternities and see if I'd like them. (I've been to a few "middle tier" fraternities and I don't really feel like I fit in) Is there anyway for rushees to go to top tier frat parties still or no? If not how can i get a word put in for myself?

Yes but you need to bring your A game. Theta Chi, Sigma Nu, Fiji, and KA have all filled up their pledge classes with an exception of 3-5 spots saved for formal rush. Odds are you're one of many guys left trying to earn one of those bids. My advice is to hit all four fraternities and be on the ball at every single one of you want a chance at a top bid. Good luck

Keep an open mind about all fraternties. Tiers mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. However, if you didn't feel like it was a good fit then that is acceptable. Go to the big 4 as the other person said. If you don't get a bid, hit up the other middle tier fraternities or you can decide to not join on this semester.
