Kappa Delta - ΚΔ Sorority at Auburn University - AU 5.0 I had to laugh because it is true about the kitchen comment. I pledged and was surprised to meet a whole group of girls I had never seen before later...they had been on kitchen duty. There's nothing wrong with that, you have to put your best foot forward at rush. Now I'm always afraid they'll say, "Oh, you're in the kitchen this week..."

Kappa Delta - ΚΔ Sorority at Auburn University - AU 5.0 rewarding an alum with a bid for her daughter is what KD is all about. True to the other. Beautiful girls are a plus for any group of course, but a girl who works hard for her sorority and may not be all that cute has a place also! It is an honor to be a KD, so what if you have to sit in the kitchen during rush?

Kappa Delta - ΚΔ Sorority at Auburn University - AU 5.0 that what the poster said is that KD pledges so many great girls that those who are not all that great are hidden by those who are so good. (That can happen in any group of course. If you have a fantastic group of 60 women and only 10 who do not measure up to those 60, they are not noticed as much.) Love my girls!

That comment sums up the whole KD attitude. Obviously KD is NOT for everyone. You should apologize for that comment to the many sweet nice KD's who are not arrogant and self absorbed.

Kappa Delta - ΚΔ Sorority at Auburn University - AU 5.0 Its not a problem with taking a group of girls that you do not really want since you will still end up with a lot of great girls in a pledge class due to so many legacies to choose from. Those that are not up to par will never be seen as it is in most sororities.

Kappa Delta - ΚΔ Sorority at Auburn University - AU 4.6 Legacy here! KD was NOT for me. Tons of great girls , but many have a materialistic, mean spirited side. Truth. They do put on a stellar rush!

All the sororities are very close now in rankings, but KD does come out on top due to the very thing that could hurt each rush...the legacy list is long and there's lots to chose from as they all want KD. When you have really good girls, taking some that aren't up to that level just balances out the group. All the sororities are like that to some degree. Being a legacy from a mother who went to college at that specific school and who has worked hard with the chapter should get some compensation in the form of pledging her daughter. Not all legacies get that privilege, but it does pay for the mom to be a strong alumni.
