will a sorority not want you if you have a bad gpa?

Whats the lowest acceptable GPA to rush? I know bad grades deter sororities but I'm a stem major where its somewhat common to have a gpa in the 2.0's in your second year.

May be hard, you'll have to really emphasize the reason. People care way more about how you do in the current quarter gpa than anything, so if you prove yourself once you're in you're fine. Most chapters have social probation or chapter suspension for low quarterly GPA

Having a GPA in the 2.0s is a red flag for pretty much all the sororities, and you likely will not be accepted by any if it's under 2.5 (2.7 for some, these are national rules). Also keep in mind that if you're a stem major and your GPA is already that low, joining a sorority will take up even more of your time. Spend a year or couple quarters if you have it improving your GPA and rush another time.

I'm actually switching out of stem to business, a major I'm actually very interested in. I never did well in stem because I wasn't interested in it but majored in it because pressure from my parents :/

Also do you know what sororities don't take anything below a 2.7?
