A Pre-COVID Alum's Honest Take on Marist Srat Ranks
by: GreekLifeTruth
As someone who graduated before COVID, I've been surprised to see how much energy still goes into Greek Rank and anonymous rankings. In my experience, the strongest chapters focused on sisterhood, leadership, academics, philanthropy, and member experience rather than trying to win online popularity contests.
One thing I've noticed over the years is that some chapters seem very concerned with proving they're #1 online especially if they don't have their own page or their chapter is bust. Personally, I don't think Greek Rank has ever been an accurate measure of a chapter's quality. The best organizations build their reputation through their actions, culture, and the experiences of their members.
Nearly a decade later, it's disappointing that some of the same rivalries and ranking debates still exist. Marist Greek Life was always strongest when chapters supported their own members and let their accomplishments speak for themselves. Future students should form their own opinions by meeting members and experiencing each organization firsthand, not by reading anonymous rankings online.
