rush process
by: pnmWhat exactly is rush like? I know you go to different houses and rank your choices and some cut you and all that, but what actually happens at rush? Like do you just go in the house and find someone to talk to or is it really structured or what?

Well first of all the recruitment/rush process is divided into separate rounds that get more intimate as you move along in the week. First of all, for Round 1 you are paired with a girl to talk to initially when you go in who meets you at the door/walks up to you. You could talk to this same girl the entire time, or bump to a different girl/girls who you would have individual conversations with. As the rounds progress, you typically stick with the same girl the entire time. So, yeah, it's pretty structured.

I didn't really explain the rounds after the first one, but it's basically all the same except you don't stick with your initial group from round one (you only go there to check in from now on) and you all split up based on your schedules of what houses you are visiting that day (based on who dropped you/who you dropped). Once you get to the houses on your schedule, you sit under tents usually until they call your name to meet a girl from the sorority at the door.
