Idk if you're just a theta or a troll, but thats not DZ's reputation here. most the girls i know really love it. I'm sure the dues are high because of their new house but I was told during recruitment that KD and DDD's were the highest.

That's not what I've experienced either... DZ is a solid middle tier sorority here and while the girls may be a tad boring and predictable as a whole, they seem to love each other and their sorority. With that being said, their dues are very high and I suspect this is why they need to participate in informal recruitment each year.

DZ is a really diverse chapter ( with kind of strict rules. This ends up in there being lots of really small but close-knit friend groups and girls who like to go out often end up dropping since its easy to get targeted and end up fined or in trouble. Personally, I believe this is kind of where the reputation for being boring comes from. And also since there's a lot of close friend groups, there's really not a need to stay in the chapter once you've made your friends.. not saying everybody doesn't get along--most people love everyone in the chapter, but you kind of stick with who you know. There's a few fun party girls in DZ but you're not gonna find them showing it at a social or a DZ function. But regardless of this, still a great chapter and I would recommend transferring. DZ just has a few problems <like every other chapter>.

I know a lot of DZs who don't party at all. However, I know many more who do party but embarrass themselves with their clothes, can't handle their alcohol, etc. In the end you'll have sisters who are either boring or weird, so I don't recommend transferring.

DZ is strict. That is all there is to it. If you like to party is it not the place for you. I felt out of place going out all the time as a DZ and found that only a few sisters liked to do the same. I ended up dropping but that was a personal choice. In regards to dues, as a new member it is $590 a month (at least for you first semester and then goes down from then on but it is still much more expensive than other places) hope that helps

DZ AT FLORIDA SUCKS... NOT SO NICE GIRLS AFTER ALL. MY FRIEND PLEDGED HER FRESHMAN YEAR, AND THEN DROPPED OUT, AS SHE SAID THE GIRLS WERE REAL NASTY... NOT A GOOD SISTERHOOD AT ALL. THEY ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS HOUSE IS THE NEW HOUSE. JOTHERWISE MIDDLE TIER HOUSE/ IN THE MIDDLE. NOT GREAT. JUST AVERAGE.

Isn't it true that their social chair just dropped?

imma be honest. im in dz and i party a lot, and so do all of my friends. we like to have a good time and go to socials and parties. there are going to be girls in every sorority that dont like to party, but that should not stop you from going out. I am still friends with those girls, and can still sit at a lunch table with them, and have a perfectly good time. We're strict. So what?? We have a classy representation, and i dont see anything wrong with that. All of my best friends are in dz, and i cant imagine not spending every day in that house with those girls.
