sophomore rush?

I'll be transferring to UF in the fall as a sophomore. I know a few girls in different sororities there. Do a lot of sophomores rush? Do they have equal chances at getting bids as freshman?
Also, does rushing as a sophomore screw up your "family"? For example, would your big be the same age as you?

rushing as a sophomore is way more common than you'd think. Each year the sophomore count gets higher it seems. You don't necessarily have the exact same chances as freshman in most houses but you're chances aren't bad at all. If a house likes you it's highly unlikely they'll drop you because you're a year older. And because so many girls have rushed as sophomores last year and the year before it's very easy for new members to get bigs who also rushed as sophomores and are therefore older. But it's not even weird to get a big who is the same age at least in my opinion.
