Next Sorority at UF

by: Hmmm

It seems like everyone did really well but a lot of girls did not find homes for one reason or another. Who would you like to see as the next sorority to come on here?

Alpha Sigma Tau because I think it's the only one not mentioned yet
I'd love to see all 26 NPC organizations here one day. Go Gators!

I like Tri Sigmas origin story. They were an education sorority and decided to join NPC in the 50s. Out of all of the education sororities, they are the few to survive. Also, love all their pirate theme symbols.

There's no reason to bring another chapter to campus. Campus total is only 305, which compared to Alabama (477), UGA (368), South Carolina (525), Arkansas (605) and Mississippi (652), we aren't even the ballpark of expanding. If PNMs don't want the chapters that exist on campus, then maybe they just don't want to be in a sorority. If you want to be in a sorority at Florida, you can be. It's not ridiculously exclusive - you just have to be willing to accept the bid you receive and stop worrying about ranks and looks and nonsense. There are girls in top chapters that HATE it, and there are girls in bottom chapters who love it. Perspective people.

Exactly. And there is about to be the 'enrollment cliff' starting this year with projected college enrollment expected to decline 13% over the next 15 years. Will that effect the sorority demographic? All NPC national orgs are keeping a close watch on recruitment and membership numbers to see, and will be less optimistic about campus expansions, perhaps choosing to focus available resources on existing chapters.

Starting a new srat isnโ€™t easy.
Didnโ€™t get house you wanted or dropped starting new is bottom tier. National support luckily supports our newer srats. It will take a while to get established. Growing pains will be difficult. UF is full of great people in all our current sororities. Our lowest tier would be considered top at most colleges
