I agree that Gamma Phi might be a good fit. Alpha Phi is over committed. There comes a point where a sorority can get over extended in the expansion process and the new colony/chapter suffers and might even fail to thrive. Better that they take care of their newest chapters and make sure they will do well.

Alpha Xi Delta! I am currently a part of the Theta Chi chapter of Alpha Xi Delta in Toledo, Ohio and I am transferring to Florida for either next semester or next year and I am beyond excited and would LOVE to see a chapter be colonized at the University that I would be able to transfer to :)

Probably not happening. Alpha Phi is already coming in Fall 2017 and Alpha Xi Delta was awful when they were at UF (have an older sis who was at UF when they were around).

It's hard to know exactly what happened without knowing a sister who was active then. They were at UF from 1981 to 2001. They prob couldn't pull quota, even with national help, so their nationals decided to close them and focus on other chapters that had a chance to rebound or grow. Greek life goes through phases to its size, and sometimes chapters can't keep up with expanding numbers for various reasons.

Extra info: we has Phi Sigma Sigma here, as well, from 1967 to the 80s and Sigma Delta Tau from 1975 to 1983. Plus, Pi Beta Phi (77-85) Delta Phi Epsilon (late 50s to 69), Sigma Kappa (late 70s to 85), and Phi Mu (87-94) all were gone from campus for brief times.

We just got GPhi, and APhi comes in 2017. I think we need to wait at least 2 years before expanding more, lol I know there's a lot of PNMs but there would be no one left to join any more new chapters!

AGD will be next since theres already a chapter at FSU who could help with colonization
