blackballed from rush

i didn’t rush this fall because I was scared of being cut from all of the houses, due to a group of girls from my high school already in sororities. they are older than me and were friends with this girl who was in love with my then boyfriend and just slandered me for no reason. I never even spoke to the girls or did anything, is this going to ruin my chances for recruitment? i really j want to be apart of a sisterhood and be involved in the philanthropy.
