thinking about it

by: rush question

Do legacies matter? For girls/guys? Like should I even waste my time getting a letter of rec? My twin and I are rushing - we are fraternal twins
( boy/girl) and both legacies at top houses, just wondering if it even matters?

every sorority has certain rules. but for most I’d say being a legacy doesn’t get you in. In-house legs have a lot of pull. But having your mom or grandma who graduated a while ago doesn’t really help

Legacy is more applicable for sororities, so check the sorority legacy policy on the national site to know what you're dealing with. A rec never hurts for any sorority, so get them for as many houses as you can, except that Phi Mu no longer takes them. Don't tell other sororities that you are a legacy anywhere but do let your legacy house know with an intro or rec or whatever form that sorority uses.
