Online Recruitment
by: Class of 2022hi, to the Panhellenic council, if fall rush is unable to proceed as normal because of the pandemic concerns, and if they decide to postpone rush, then can you please consider holding online fall rush at least for upperclassmen? myself and a lot of my friends are transferring in as juniors, and ive heard a lot of people (both rising sophomores and especially rising juniors) say that if rush is postponed to spring 2021 or even fall 2021 then we wont rush because thats only 3 semesters or 2 semesters. I have friends that have been UF students and are becoming juniors this year too; they're also planning on rushing and they feel the same way. I know that thousands of freshmen sign up for rush so maybe it might be difficult to hold online rush with everyone, but for upperclassmen I heard its about 300-500 of us, and I think that online rush would be possible? its just that we have less time than the freshmen, and so many transfers have been planning on rushing for over 2 years like that was our goal in mind. this is just an idea but if it was possible and if every sorority participated I think it could totally work. I really think that uf Panhellenic can find a way to have online rush; utk is already doing it! please just consider this, especially for us older girls. thank you!

CLASS OF 2022, you are a troll, and your story is all over the place filled with "If..., I heard..., I really think... I know..." Cut the crap and show up like all the othes will, you are not special and nobody cares.

Lol k. Everyone knows that the person that says “troll” and “geed” is the same person that bumps up all the irrelevant tier lists and has made this website super bad. I literally just wanted to tell the pan council something that a lot of juniors think is important. @T, you’re annoying and at this point everyone reads all of your responses and simply ignores them. If fall rush is live then GOOD, that’s obviously what I want & you would’ve understood that if you read my post. But utk is already having fall rush online so I just wanted to share my concerns

Actually I’ve been on the sorority side for the past 2 recruitments and I see some ways that virtual rush could work. Obviously some things would have to change, but I think that pan could figure out a way to organize bump groups so it could work, etc. The NPC has released info on different types of recruitments that can occur this fall because of the pandemic, and I think some could work for UF pan. Thing is that I know some unis are even considering their formal spring rush to be online & there’s no guarantee we can have reg rush by spring semester. Plus I know ucf isn’t even letting clubs meet in person anymore if they open in the fall. It all sucks and as a senior a virtual bid day sounds sad but I’d rather have that than nothing, & then once the pnms are initiated we could meet them in person haha I think it could work
