dropping a frat and joining another

is this something that is possible? and how do people around UF greek life view this? My friends are telling me I’d fit in really well in their fraternity and I just am not getting the vibe I thought I would in my current one

Once you have already been initiated, you are not able to join another fraternity. You can still drop if you are pledging.

I heard you can call nationals and get disaffiliated

It depends on the fraternity, some fraternities don't have inactive statuses and once you drop you're gone. For some you can call to disaffiliate but you need a reason
