where to rush

I'm interested in doing frat rush in the spring but how do I know which houses to go to?

Talk to your friends who are in fraternities. If you don't have any, I would definitely get off this site, and wait until the IFC BBQ when you get to meet all the fraternities that are tabling before official rush. From there I would pick which houses you got along with and just rush those.
