Okay, I am a senior in highschool and for the longest time I knew I wanted the University of Florida for vet school.Since I live in Florida its cheaper but I love love love the cold weather and clearly... it doesn't have that. Now I am having a real hard time deciding between UGA and UF. I love both but I need overall incite for how the campus is, overall atmosphere,,, anything to help! Thanks
(Please dont be rude I just want some advice from current gators!)

i’m sure that there are areas uga is better than uf at, but uf is a top 10 public university (lol) while uga is ranked at number 19 i believe. plus, as an in state student, i don’t see why you’d pay to go to an out of state public school

I was actually in a similar situation this past summer! I couldn’t decide between either school for the longest time because in my opinion, the campuses are very similar. While I think UGA has a better “college town” since Athens is just kick ass, Gainesville is not that bad. For me it came down to academics mostly. UF is a better school all around for whatever you want to pursue. It all generally comes down to what you want in a college. UGA is 100% more of a party school (i think they were #1 or #2 like last year), so if that matters to you more than a better education, choose there. I don’t think you could go wrong with either because I do sometimes think about the “what if’s” I went to UGA, but UF is an amazing school with awesome people and I can guarantee you’ll love it. good luck :)
