by: thinkingWhat sororities usually do spring rush? How does it work? I rushed in fall and i ended up dropping but my friend who joined convinced me to rush again. Im not sure i want to rush again yet but i think someone giving me a little info would help with my decision.

Hey! I'm glad you're giving Greek life another shot! Spring rush is usually a series of informal events designed to allow you to meet sisters and for them to meet you. Panhellenic decides each year whether they'll host an official spring rush, which starts with an info session so you can learn about all of the sororities participating. If there isn't an official spring rush, certain sororities will throwing their own events, and it's much more likely that girls going to them have all been invited. Spring rush is easier to go through than fall rush, but it's harder to get a bid. Some sororities already know if they're hosting spring rush, and some will know closer to spring. Sororities in the bottom tier will almost always be hosting spring rush. Ask any friends you have in sororities to let you know if they're having spring rush, and they can give you more advice about when/how it works
