I believe SAE has to initiate their PC within 96 hrs. after receiving their bids. That is now the new SAE process according to their IHQ.

SAE has to initiate its pledges within 96 hours of them receiving their bids. I do still believe there's a "new member period" which is basically still the same as pledging. Not 100% sure myself but I'm going off of what one of my friends in SAE told me.

They have to initiate them a lot sooner because of their nationals. Even though they're "brothers" they still get treated like pledges until the end of the semester.

The SAE initiation means nothing in the eyes of the brothers, it's only done for guidelines of nationals who removed pledging from all SAE chapters in 2014. They cant call their pledges even, but there certainly is a new member educational period...
