cut, dropped and released
by: PNMI spent the past six months looking at igs and getting rush clothes. I got a call in the middle of the night that all my houses released me. The pichi tried to make me feel better and said but you are pretty and have cute clothes. I talked to lots of people and was a cheerleader in high school, yet even a house I was a legacy dropped me. I feel very sad seeing everyone still walking in their dresses yet I am not. I replay all the convos and wonder if it was that I was a junior by credits, yes I had 90 units but told girls I was going to double major so I would not leave early. I feel really sad and do not know what to do at UF now.

So sorry that this happened to you and I can only imagine how you feel at this point but please understand that your college experience is far from over. There are many different organizations that you can join here. Most UF students are not Greek.
I hope you try to get involved on campus and meet some Panhellenic women which should help if you want to rush again. It's impossible for us on this forum, not knowing you, to say why you were dropped.

I down voted your post not to mock you, but I am so sorry this happened to you. I wish I knew you so I can give you a hug.
I know you said you are a junior by credits, but do you plan to stay here four years? Maybe you can rush in the spring or fall?
Like the person said, get involved in clubs, and other organizations. Hang in there!

I am also a junior in credits and I dropped today. I feel you & everything happens for a reason. This actually happened to one of my friends and you can still spring rush this year because you got dropped before pref night. Stay positive and for this fall you'll probably have an amazing life, even as a non Greek

Thank you I am so sorry. I did put down grad schools I wanted to attend on the application, and I already had my AA. A few houses did ask me about that and said you seem really smart or very mature. I feel I would've worked hard at their houses but I cannot change who I am.
