do you have to be in a frat to go to the tailgates and parties or do they hit you with the "who do you know here" ? And if you know a brother can you get in ?

You have to be in the fraternity to go to their tailgates, it's not an open party.

yes, you need to be in the fraternity to go to the fraternity's tailgate. unless you were personally invited by a brother, their tailgates are private events for sororities, friends, and family.

Fraternities assume a certain degree of risk by hosting gameday tailgates, and thats a big reason why not just anybody can walk through the doors and potentially ruin everything for the guys affiliated with the house
