how the tier system works

I was always very confused about the tier system. How do you know who is top? Is it cool to be top? Are you weird if you're not?
For confused PNMS here is the truth: there are no real tiers! A lot of the tier system is based on perception. Top tier sororities are considered top by girls from their respective areas. For example, girls from places such as tampa or orlando will likely consider sororities such as ADPI, ZTA, or KD top because the majority of these girls are the "cool" girls from their respective areas. However people from south florida would likely consider DG or AOPI top for the same reason. Tiers are based on perception, and in all honestly people dont judge you on your letters, the judge you on you in college. So, that being said, please chose a sorority that you feel COMFORTABLE in an the rest will fall into place. DO NOT choose based on a "tier"

its a simple concept about the tier system. While there are perceptions and preferences between certain houses based on where you live, etc. the tier system is still a simple concept. Everyone knows that ZTA is top, regardless of where they come from, its just a given that you know about the tiers and where you fall. That being said never take tiers too seriously cause it won't make/break your college life.

oh my god, I'm a guy so I have to fight in this i just used ZTA as an example since everyone knows them. I agree ADPi is top with them, but you must be an ADPi if you took it that hard

There's damn sure are tiers. Top, middle and bottom. Stop telling the PNM's that they do not exist. Most people want or like a top tier house regardless of so called vibes . The top houses are kd zta and Adpi. Then there is the top if the middle ddd, Dg and Aoii. Most girls belong to a middle tier house. Then there is the bottom tier. 6 or so houses. The bottom tier is the least desired houses.

ddd,dg, and aoii are considered top... they're in rotation with all the top frats and literally no one thinks they're mid. middle has like 6/7 houses and bottom has 4/5 depending on how you categorize the houses. stop trying to make pnms think adpi,zta and kd are the only top houses

There are tiers. Top tiers make the most cuts during rush, get the hottest pledges, throw the best events, and have the most influential alum. PNM's go crazy trying to get into these houses. Look at PNM's preference lists and I guarantee you no one would put SK over ZTA.

The replies to this post show how immature and catty people are in the so called "top tier houses." Look at you guys fighting! Relax and allow PNMs to decide for themselves, i think people would respect "top tier" houses more if they didn't get so obsessed with saying they have status when in reality they're just girls atUF like the rest of us.

Ask AOPI/DG members and three out of four will say those were their top choice. I admit, I was dropped from ZTA but had zero interest in ADPI and KD!

Let's JUST SAY- Every girl at least kind of wants zeta adpi and/or ddd during rush (used to be KD). aopi dg and kd are slightly less desired by most. They are top but not on the same "level" as zeta adpi ddd in a way. Hard to explain but once you go through rush you will see that everyone is very interested in the top 3 because they know how to put on an amazing rush and appeal to everyone. As someone who is in a top house I've preffed MANY girls and they almost always are between the top 3.
