how to increase chance of getting a bid?

by: Guy

I'm a guy and want to rush I need the fall. I don't really care about tiers of whatever but I at least want a house with an actual on-campus house and one that pairs with sororities for socials and stuff. How can I help chances of getting a bid and if it matters I'll be there for summer? Thanks

Just go to the all of the fraternity's summer parties, and try to meet some brothers. And then hopefully by fall you'll have your choices narrowed down, and then for fall rush just go to dinners and mixers. And if you're a sociable guy you'll get a bid It's just a lot of man flirting

How many houses do people usually rush? I know you want a few but since you don't have a lot of time it's probably hard to go to every house.

I went to 3 houses for rush, but by Wednesday I already knew which one I wanted, and I ended up getting a bid at that house

Try to get to know as many frats as possible and don't just go to like two. You're setting yourself up for failure. Figure out where you're from and what kind of guys you want to be friends with. Don't wait your time at frats that are nothing like you. Get yourself some clean cut clothes that are fratty but also reflect your personalty. Practice some easy "guy" convos like sports and tv shows and such. Have your friends that are girls introduce you to guys they think could be your friends. Trust girls' judgment. If they don't think you're gonna get a bid or that you'll be a fit its because its true so suck it up and follow their advice.
