freshmen living in the house

Can freshmen choose to live in the sorority house, or is it only older girls? I figure that most of them move in before rush, do they leave room for any freshmen who may want to move in?

in my chapter a senior graduated in the fall who lived in house, so there was an open spot for the spring in which a freshman moved into (after getting out of her prior housing contract) in my chapter mostly sophomores live in house but it varies from house to house

I know that in my house people moved in in the spring due to people graduating or studying abroad etc, so it's a possibility but not likely.
