Yeah I'm pretty sure they are. But maybe don't approach them in like the grocery store or at the gym and start bombarding them with questions because that seems pretty uncomfortable, and also they don't know everything yet and sometimes they might be Pi Chis from previous years that are recruiting again as chapter women and that would be awkward too.
So if you happen to meet one doing something else like going to class or whatever, sure, engage in conversation. But don't like stalk them and bombard them with questions.
