tiers
by: rSomeone please explain upper, mid, and lower to me. I get the ranks, but I've seen post calling aopii and dg mid (upper) and then others calling them bottom top and theta and piphi mid. Who's top, who's middle, who's bottom? Where would you say the line is drawn

Honestly, it is nothing more than a popularity and looks contest. The top houses appeal to mostly beautiful women/hot guys with poise and personality.
Not to say the mid/bottom houses do not have attractive people with great personality, or the top houses don't have their share of average looking people, but tiers are based mainly on those factors alone.

there are 6 top houses, in no particular order they are: ADPi, DG, DDD, ZTA, AOII, KD
-no one cares if you are top top of bottom top because you have a social calendar with the same top fraternities (in no particular order: SAE, ATO, Beta, Pike, Phi Delt, Sigma Chi)
the middle tier usually separates upper middle from just middle because upper middle can sometimes mix with top fraternities (this is why there should be no difference between top and bottom top tier they all are with the same fraternities)
-Upper Middle (in no particular order): PiPhi,DZ, Theta
-Rest of Middle (in no particular order): XO, Deeph
the bottom tier is everyone else but it is pretty common opinion that SK is bottom of the pack which is sad because they have great girls just like every chapter! It is just how things go
-Upper Bottom (in no particular order): AXO, KKG
-Bottom (in no particular order except SK being last): Phi Mu, GPHi, AEPhi, SK
