what are the benefits of joining a top sorority?

Here's the catch: you don't pick a top sorority, they have to pick you. There's not any real benefits other than your social status, I would argue that very few "top houses" have sisterhoods like the middle-lower houses which is what sororities are (supposed to be) really about.

The top tier sororities have the best social schedules with top tier frats
I was in a top tier house at UF and our sisterhood was amazing

My advice to you is to go through rush with an open mind. You will find your home
