Kennesaw State University - KSU Overview

  About Greek Life at KSU

Kennesaw State has grown into one of the larger universities in Georgia, and its Greek system has expanded alongside it. The school operates under multiple governing councils — IFC and Panhellenic cover the more traditional fraternity and sorority chapters, while NPHC organizations represent a significant and historically rooted presence on campus. That mix makes for a broad range of chapter options across different traditions and chapter cultures.

The IFC roster includes chapters like Pi Kappa Alpha, Sigma Nu, Kappa Sigma, Delta Tau Delta, and Tau Kappa Epsilon, among others. On the Panhellenic side you'll find chapters like Zeta Tau Alpha, Phi Mu, Kappa Delta, Gamma Phi Beta, and Alpha Omicron Pi. The NPHC organizations — Alpha Phi Alpha, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, and others — have been part of the campus fabric for years and tend to operate on a different membership intake calendar than IFC and Panhellenic chapters.

KSU doesn't have a traditional Greek Row with chapter houses lined up off campus. Most chapters operate without dedicated housing, which is pretty common for commuter-heavy Georgia schools. A lot of members live off campus and commute in, so chapter life is built around events, meetings, and campus programming rather than house culture.

Recruitment for IFC chapters typically happens in the fall, and Panhellenic formal recruitment follows a structured process with multiple rounds. Because KSU has a large overall student body, Greek life is one piece of a much bigger social picture — it's active and organized, but it's not the dominant social force the way it might be at a school like Georgia or Georgia Tech. Chapters here put real effort into philanthropy events and community service, which tends to be a consistent thread across both IFC and Panhellenic orgs on campus.

The discussion activity and ratings on this site reflect a community that's genuinely engaged with tracking and talking about the chapters here, which gives a decent sense of how plugged-in the Greek population is relative to the school's size.
