I am a founding sister of the Iota Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi at URI.It is so sad to hear what has become of the chapter.In 1997, I had NO intentions of joining/rushing a house.My roommate dragged me to a socializer at the coffee house(@ that time we had yet to have a house)and I sat down with the most genuine mix of girls ranging from the quiet bookworms to the outspoken cheerleader type, a true mix. Its sad to hear that the chapter has become that "sterotype" of a sorority...

If you're smart, you'll stay away from them. They're not one of the best on campus & a lot of sororitys won't social with them bc they're creepy. They basically take anyone they can get nowadays & the pledging process is all messed up.
