somebody is a little jealous of KD....

THE TOP SIX ARE PI PHI, KAPPA, DG, THETA, ALPHA PHI, KD (in no order). no other houses matter.

^^^this is true. AGD, Tri Delt, And ChiO (who I personally think are the best upper middle tier sororities) could be getting stronger if the upper tier sororities keep getting in trouble. Even if Kappa doesn't have a lot of penalties from their recent mishap, rumors go around during recruitment and pledge classes will suffer, just look at DG's recent PC...not very good.

No, it really is a top 6 because every year there is movement up and down within that group. Sorry, but no other sorority has been able to crack that group in years, no matter how hard they have tried, or have talked about takeover. There have been years that top 6 sororities didn't make quota, didn't do well with a pledge class, had a generally crappy rep,or had scandals, but through it all, they still survived as a top 6.

I was in a 5 yr. program, just graduated. Sister was here before me, greek also. Prior to 2008/9 there was a Big 4-that is correct. At that point, KD and A Phi pretty much separated themselves from the mid tier pack with strong pledge classes, and were able to build on them. Since then, it has been the Big 6.

As to Pi Phi, they were never less than Big 6-didn't make quota 1 year, and since they were disliked by a lot of girls (they were seen as plastic and snobby), many hoped that they would tumble. They didn't. Same thing happened to KKG another year. They came back. DG had a year of scandal and turmoil within the house that dropped it a couple of notches for a year or two, but they bounced back. A number of girls that might have gone DG seemed to go KD instead, boosting them further. Alpha Phi was seen as a party/hippie sorority, and pretty much did what they wanted, there were those that resented that. Frats loved them. They were never in the bottom half at that point.

Some of those rankings were pretty ludicrous back then-some crazy lists and jockeying, obviously- I mean, no offense AXO, but someone had them pretty high up in one of the lists. Chi O came close, but never quite got the pledge class or affiliation with a more popular fraternity to get traction to push it up out of middle tier.

Given the issues with KKG and DG this year, there may be the opportunity for moving up-the question will be can they stay there for more than a year, and build on it? We'll see!

Top:
Alpha Phi & Theta & PiPhi, theyre doing pretty well with everything

then Kappa & DG i think still have the potential to move back up and mix around with those once they arent on social probation anymore

Middle:
KD - a lot of people will think this is harsh, but their house isnt anything special, neither are their girls, philanthropy or anything else. to me youve got to do well at a couple of those to be "top" and their just average at them all or ... middle...

AGD - not on the same rung as the others but still have a good group of girl
AxiD - if achio wasnt tettering on being bottom tier fuzzie would be, but they still do better than achio so their bottom middle

Bottom:
AXO - a good pledge class could take them back to the middle
AEPhi
DZ - hopefully the renovations help them some
AOII - it would honestly be best if they gave zeta their house back, and came back in a few years with a new house and a fresh start

I think the big 6 are still very relevant. As for the comment above, I think KD is lower top tier, definitely not middle tier. I don't see Chi O or Tri Delt having greek week with TKE and a ton of TGs and parties with Phi Psi. KD does stuff with the best frats.

Alpha phi (only above bc they dont currently have a poor pledge class within thier roster)

DG (both are just kinda unranked bc they cant do anything)

Mid:
KD (when Kappa & DG are doing fine they just dont compete, plus my bff told me how disappointed they were because they cross-preffed with AGD this year a bunch)
DDD (more similar to KD than KD is to any of the top houses but still beneath them)

AGD (there's a wider and wider gap each failed PR plan AGD tries)
