Need Some Frat Rush Advice

by: John

I am eventually planning to go back to do a second bachelor's when I am 28 because I want to change career fields. And I regret not joining a frat my first time around and wasn't very social. So I want to join one this time round. Is 28 too old to join a frat? How worried should I have to be judged for being an older man in a frat? I feel like I will have less experience than a lot of my younger brothers when it comes to social interactions. I have definitely learned a lot over the years after college on how to socialize better. Is it worth the risk for me to try join a frat at 28? My friends are telling me to give up the dream, but a part of me doesn't want to. I feel like I'm just coping and being unrealistic, but am not 100% sure. Need some frat advice.

Dude you’re going to be 32 graduating with 21/22 year olds. That’s honestly predator territory. Let it go and find an organization with people your own age.

A 28 year old in a pledge class of 18 year old boys right out of high school? Mixing with sorority girls of the same age? Dude this is NOT your peer group and you would not be welcome, it's giving creepy. Everybody has regrets about things they should have or should not have done in their past. Leave it in the past and move on. Continue with your social skills in an age appropriate group.

You’re in your late 20s, what are you going to having in common with teenagers who are fresh out of high school? The decade wide age gap is just inappropriate. If you want to party you can do so with people who were born in the same century as you.
