Sig Ep 2021

I know their house is available to rent so I think they’re kicked off or really small

They all quit, right after they were expelled from SigEp

They merged with KDR

Their national wanted this OSU chapter to change from a traditional chapter to a balance man chapter, which means that they would become a dry & substance free house. The rest is history.

They kinda ruined themselves from what I have heard.

Short Answer: Yes they are a real fraternity with a national charter.

Long Answer: They were one of the largest fraternities up until 2018. One of their members got upset about not getting an exec position so he reported evidence to the university that they had an alcohol fund. The University didn't do anything so he took the issue up with Sig Ep's national headquarters. Prior to this, after multiple incidents of alcohol-related deaths, Sig Ep decided to make all chapters across the nation stop providing alcohol in an effort to save face. Because of that, they took the violation seriously, and one way or another more than half their members dropped out although I don't know if that was voluntary or by force. This all happened internally though so they were never kicked off campus by the school. They are starting to rebuild but as of now, they are a relatively small chapter.

Is Sigep recolonizing this year?

Yes SigEp is a real fraternity. Yes they have their charter and the chapter is small but quickly rebuilding.

I know no one is going to believe I’m not a SigEp when I say this (and worse, I have no proof to back it up lol), but I love SigEp! Their chapter is small, but the guys in it are involved and really seem to care.

Although there is no relationship with KDR and Sigep to any degree, KDR essentially replaced sigep when nationals removed half their members to what they are today. The Sigep of a few years ago no longer exists, and the type of members that would have joined them back in the day are marketed to by KDR, theta chi, to an extent even pikapp type kids that want to have fun but place an organizational focus on academics/professional development as a priority as opposed to strictly partying/social.
