Time to form an IIFC
by: Aaa6 fraternities have been suspended/kicked off just this year. This is getting ridiculous. We may need to do what wvu did and form and iifc and no longer affiliate with melissa shivers and the school.

It totally depends. If they work together with their nationals and explain why it would be more beneficial, I’m sure there can be an agreement. Some off-campus frats still have their nationals and maintain good relations

Literally nothing benefits from affiliating with the school besides being able to have stuff on campus. When is melissa shivers going to realize they need us more than we need them.

so then literally whats stopping us? All upside, no downside, why wouldnt we do it as of fall semester?

Npc will not let sororities function/pair with unaffiliated groups. The only independent IFCs are the ones that pay privately for their own Greek life office. That ain’t gonna happen here.

UMICHIGAN HAS DONE THIS 2 YEARS AGO. THEY CREATED THE AAIFC, WHICH IS A INDEPENDENT ORGANIZATION NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE IFC AND UNIVERSITY AND IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING. MORE FRATERNITIES THAT EITHER LEFT VOLUNTARILY OR KICKED OFF JOINED THE AAIFC. UMICH IFC WENT FROM 25 FRATERNITIES IN 2018 TO NOW ONLY 13 REMAINING AND SOME OF THOSE 13 ARE DEBATING WHETHER TO LEAVE IFC.

How many chapters do you know that actually do this seriously? Sounds like you just are a suck up to the school.

To Not the same......Those fraternities at UMich even though it wasn't related to hazing or risk management, they bottom line is that they did break away form IFC and University. BTW, There are 8 fraternities are UMich that just got suspended this semester and they are all thinking about joining the AAIFC, but thier current IFC sucks.

Everyone here knows underground frats have more fun and more freedom. Can frats affiliate w nationals and have letters and open events if they have a seperate council?
