how to make close friendships in the chapter?

It takes time. Don’t try to force or rush it. Just remember, what you see on social media and surface level isn’t necessarily true — AKA, you’re not the only one feeling this way. It’s common.

I personally got along okay with my PC, but connected more with the class after mine. Not saying I didn’t enjoy that first year because I did, but I didn’t have those deep connections right away.

Best advice: just try to be involved & enjoy the opportunities for events! When you have a big/fam, rely on them too!

Usually actives would be reaching out to new members to “date” (like for lunch, coffee, etc.) before initiation in my experience. Close friendships form as they develop, but the ones that you’ll end up doing bigger things with such as like trips or facetime calls in the future will find you before you know it.
