only 2 houses and bullies
by: HelpSo I preffed 3 and only wrote down 2. How likely is it that I won’t get a bid? Also, the reason I didn’t write down the third house isn’t because it’s bottom (I actually see it right in the middle usually on here), it’s because there’s a few girls in it who bullied one of my friends in high school and I would’ve been uncomfortable in it in case their attitude held. I was also surprised they kept inviting me back for that reason. I know one of the reasons the matching system makes you write down all three so that the girls who think that they are better than houses get punished, but because my case was kind of legitimate is there anyone I could talk to? I really liked my other 2 houses

You took a big risk. If you ended up in your third choice you could have dropped or tried it and dropped later if you didn’t like it. There is a chance you will end up without a bid. Hopefully not because I understand your reasons but that is only a few girls you had an issue with. No house is perfect and there will be girls you don’t connect with at any house you join. Nothing you can do about it now. Good luck hope it works out for you.

I'd like to think PHA has a way for you to drop a house where that is the case, but I have no idea if that's true. I say that because I know my house allows us to drop PNMs for the reason you stated, among others. But because of how recruitment numbers work, it may be too late unfortunately. And PHA may not believe it because you didn't talk to your Rho Gam earlier. That's what they're for.
