It’s the nickname for Alpha Xi Delta.

In the words Alpha " pha" sounds like fuh. Add "Xi" that sounds like zee - put together it sounds like fuzzy.

it's not like they chose it, it's been around for generations. My mom was a fuzzy at OU and the nickname was around before she joined. Embrace what you can't erase ya know
