by: PHAOSU Greek life has been especially obsessed with the tier system lately and it's so lame. No one will care what tier you're in outside of college. If you're happy and enjoy your time in it, then you made the right choice! I know plenty of girls in sororities that cross pref with "top tier" and "bottom tier" houses. And guys that accept bids from lower houses and deny top. Believe it or not, some people choose to join a house considered a "lower tier" because they realize greek life is more than popularity. This isn't to diss on top tier frats and sororitys either because you're all great! Everyone needs to chill with the ranking posts and enjoy your time in Greek life. PHA pride over and out!

I remember finding out about this site right after pref round of my formal rush. I almost decided to drop out of recruitment to try again the next year when i found out i only had "lower middle tier" and "bottom" tier houses left. I was encouraged to stay in it and ended up in a "bottom" house and idgaf. I love it here and my sisters are my family and i cant imagine myself anywhere else. I look back and cant believe how stupid i was to think this site and the tier system was any actual representative of greek life. I wish pnms would never find out about it. It's so unfortunate that it actually succeeds in scaring people off of houses that could potentially be their perfect fit :(

As someone who WAS scared off and pref'd the house that this site ranked higher, I completely agree. I LOVE my house now, but I can't lie, I was truly affected by the comments on this site. 18 year old girls (and guys) are still strongly influenced by stereotypes and that is why this site is awful. As a senior now it is laughable that I actually cared about stuff like this. Future PNMs PLEASE ignore this site. It is not an accurate depiction of greek life.
