why are chi o and theta looked down upon?

I feel as if so many people on here say that chi o and theta are lower mid tier and I don't really understand why? From what I've seen they are smart, friendly girls. Is it because they don't party enough?

They're lower mid not because they're a bad or awful chapter but because the houses that are above them tend to have more attractive and outgoing/party girls. While gpa is obviously why we are in college, other houses in upper mid have THAT and the whole package such as tridelt and axid

When Chi O and Theta are "looked down upon" on this site, it is ALWAYS because members of another sorority that thinks they are not as good as Chi O and Theta are trying to promote themselves by saying negative things about these two phenomenal sororities. Chi O and Theta are the complete package. Great sisterhoods, campus involvement, and academics. It's true that they don't party as much as those in the top tier (DG, Pi Phi, and A Phi), but it's not that they don't party at all. Please don't believe everything you see on this site. All kinds of cruelty from anonymous posters. Try to read between the lines of what someone says here and think, "Who would BENEFIT from this post?" That is KEY.

I don't think they are looked down upon at all!! They are just more reserved girls who focus on grades and being involved in school over partying. They get a hard time about it with the frats who claim they're boring but that is not the case.

I don't think they are necessarily looked down upon, but I do think that other chapters are more impressionable than them so they seem to fade into the backround for me personally. I mean I've been to parties and stuff with both of them and I don't really have much to say which seems like not a good thing.
