Nova Southeastern University sits in Davie, Florida, just outside Fort Lauderdale, and it's a private university that draws a lot of commuter students and grad-focused enrollment alongside its undergrad population. That context matters when you're trying to understand how Greek life fits into the picture here.

The Greek system at NSU is on the smaller side, which tracks with the overall campus culture. You've got a handful of fraternities and sororities spread across a couple of different councils. On the fraternal side, Kappa Sigma and Lambda Theta Phi represent IFC and MGC respectively. The sorority presence is bigger, with Sigma Delta Tau, Delta Phi Epsilon, and Phi Sigma Sigma operating under Panhellenic, and Alpha Kappa Alpha and Zeta Phi Beta representing the NPHC.

Because NSU pulls so many commuter and professional-track students, Greek life tends to be more of a close-knit community thing than a campus-dominating social scene. Overall, NSU's Greek community is smaller and more intimate, which means the people who do go Greek here tend to be pretty committed to it.
