Frat punishments

How did kappa alpha psi get a 15 year suspension for “hazing and endangering health and safety” when sae only got a 5 year probation for “hazing, endangering health and safety, and alcohol violations?” This is also kappa alpha psi’s second violation on Miami’s judicial record while sae has been in trouble like every other year. The sae incident was also widely reported on as extreme and inhumane while the kap one was pretty quiet because it was less severe and there were only like 5 members. I just feel like the punishments were pretty unequal, especially when chapters have been suspended for much less than what sae did.

heard sae parents banded together to petition the school. obviously used their money to get the best lawyers too

sae has wealthy white alumni (and parents) with more influence on the school and greek life than most would think. plus miami isn’t exactly known for equal treatment of minorities…

while I agree that sae should’ve been given a harsher punishment, they’ll probably be kicked off for violating their probation anyway.
