how likely is it to receive a cob

How likely is it to receive a continuous open bid from chapters? What is the informal sorority recruitment process like?

Don’t even bother with asking about COB, you’ll know about it if you know girls already in the chapters that end up doing it

It is unlikely to get a COB to a more competitive chapter. It may be that a chapter that did not make quota has a few open spots they can fill but that is usually still a very limited opportunity. If you got a bid and it isn’t one you are happy with you do not qualify to COB and can not pledge a sorority for a full year. COB’s can only be offered to those who did not complete rush or who didn’t match in bid day. This is a National Panhellenic by law.
