dirty rushing

Sadly this does happen. Its hard to control even with the rules. People will be people. People know people and want to help their friends and even family. Only advice I can give after watching this play out for a few years now (looking at you APhi!) is to play your own game and not look for others breaking the rules as it will frankly ruin your experience. No process is perfect and its sad that this goes on but it does unfortunately.

Rushing girls and selecting your pledge class before formal rush begins. Look outside of the top 5. Every house is great in a different way.

Every chapter has some idea of who they really want before recruitment. We all have girls we know coming through that we want. Some chapters make a ore formal list than others, but everyone has a wish list. What makes it dirty rushing is by prerecruiting and taking girls out to dinner and stuff. Also, bid promising is dirty rushing, and sometimes that PNM will get a bid, but sometimes that is just to get her to list them higher on their ranking list and she is heartbroken when she isn't invited back and drops out of recruitment.

Dirty rushing is out of control at this point. Most of the classes have already been picked and lists are done. So so discouraging that this seems to happen every year and just getting a friend on the list takes so much work. We also had tons of legacy situations this year to work through.

so basically everyone who's not on that list gets automatically cut no matter what the conversations are like?/and how does the house know the girls are going to choose them

I agree that its sad that we have to deal with this every year. But I think DG does it the most. But others do it too. I wish social media was shut down across the board as the entire situation has gotten out of hand IMO.
