dropping ?

by: Scared

Is it a big deal to drop your sorority before or during junior year? I’m really involved in my other clubs and just don’t feel connected to my sorority, and i now feel like it is a waste of money. The girls are great and everything i just feel like i don’t fit in haha. Im just afraid of backlash and wanted to know if anyone has had this experience

its not a big deal at all. why waste $500 if you dont want to do it? if theyre your friends, then you shouldnt have any backlash lol how old are you actually?

I was with you till the end. Why be snarky? I think she was just asking if anyone had that experience. No reason to be rude just for grins. The world is filled with enough jerks and there are FAR worse and more ridiculous questions posted on here on the daily.

100% drop if you're feeling this way. Don't feel obligated to stay in an organization that isn't offering you anything anymore. My best friend dropped her sorority for the same reasons last semester and is so much happier and less stressed now because she can now focus on things that she actually enjoys and cares about. Sure, some girls in her old sorority give her weird looks but mostly everyone understood her reasoning. It's a decision completely personal to you and I wish you luck!
