It will help when ranking a girl with the same points as you. Contrary to popular knowledge, scholarship is important in sororities! There will be plenty of stylish, pretty girls that could be heartbroken as well bc the grades didn’t meet the standard.

Probably half of our first round cuts are girls who didn't make GPA- anyone who says that we base decisions only on looks and you can slide by if you have a bad GPA but are pretty doesn't know what they're talking about. There's a ranking that comes out every semester of sororities and GPAs and every house wants to be close to the top. So yes, having a great GPA will definitely help!

GPA cuts can happen directly and indirectly. Like say a house’s lowest they will accept is a 2.8, then girls with less than that will be cut right away and figure out why. Then at a later round a 2.8 girl and a 3.3 girl with equal compatibility with the sorority but the 3.3 girl will win the invite to the next round bc her academics are better ...but the 2.8 girl will just know she was cut but not know why. Academics matter.
