snap bid is different than informal. snap bids occur with a girl who doesn't get matched with a sorority after pref round and a sorority is low on their quota they can extend a bid to the girl even if she didn't attend their pref. informal happens after recruitment for sororities that are low on overall quota. most sororities have to do informal for at least 1 girl.
